There is electricity, running water, an outdoor shower, fans, and mosquito nets over the beds. The drinking water is bottled. You will be provided with a simple breakfast of toast, jam, tea or coffee, and fruit. For lunch and dinner you will have homemade Thai/Chinese meals prepared for you. This option gives you the chance to live with a local family and eat all your meals with them. This is a great way to get a feel for the area and the people. As there are many differences between food and culture, it may be better that people opting for this home stay has some previous travel experience in Asia.
