Cancellation before the beginning of the Project - by GoEco or by the Project's management
GoEco retains its right to cancel your participation in a Project, due to unforeseen events in the designated country or in the partner organization. In such event, GoEco will attempt to find a suitable alternative for you. The participant will have the right to accept such alternative offer, or to decline it. If such an alternative will not be found, or shall an alternative offer be declined by the participant, the participant will be allowed to reuse his advance payment for future Projects, for a time span of one year. No refunds will be made by GoEco in such circumstances, and the participant will be responsible for any travel costs involved. We cannot accept liability for the effect of any unusual event or for any loss, damage, expense or claim of any description the participant suffers in connection therewith.
Cancellation of participation due to Participant's behavior
The participant is expected to obey the following rules while staying at the Project site. He is also expected to obey the Project site's instructions (and the partner organization's instructions). Please note that breaches of the following rules or of the Project site's instructions may result in your participation being terminated. Both the partner organization and GoEco reserve the right to expel (without refund) any volunteer whose behavior violates the project provider's policies or those of special program providers, tour operators, etc (by either GoEco or by the partner organization), without compensation. Moreover, in such case you will be expected to bear all special costs of such termination, inter alia special travel expenses.
The participant acknowledges that he has to obey the laws and regulations of the country in which he will stay. This includes the illegality of consumption of alcohol (in some countries - only by minors), and the illegality of drugs or other illegal substances.
The participant is required to respect the culture of the country / community in which he is placed. He is also required to be tolerant, to dress appropriately, and to treat all people with respect and dignity.
The participant shall adhere to all policies and instructions of the managing personnel.
Changes by participant before beginning of Project
If a participant wishes to make alterations to his placement once it has been confirmed, GoEco will endeavor to make the changes, provided it receives a request in writing (e-mail or letter), and there is sufficient time to do so. If we can meet the request, we will confirm this in writing. We will notify in advance of any charges or refund, and if a participant should then seek to cancel his placement, cancellation fees will apply with regard to the start date of original placement. If a participant wishes to proceed with making the alterations, he agrees to pay the additional costs and expenses regarding such replacement.
The minimum notice we require in order to make an alteration is generally 60 days before the placement start date. Depending on the placement and alteration requested, it may occasionally be longer. Any rearrangement or substantial alteration of a placement requested 60 days or less before the placement start date (where it can be made) will be treated as a cancellation and cancellation charges will apply.
Changes by the Projects' managements or by GoEco
It is unlikely we will have to make any changes to your Project, but our Projects are planned and arranged many months in advance. Occasionally, changes may be made, which we reserve the right to do at any time. Most of these changes are minor and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If a major change becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible, if there is time before departure.
In case you decline a major change, the abovementioned rules regarding cancellations before the beginning of a Project, will apply.
In any event of loss of Project time due to different delays, a change in the Project's services or time tables, or other changes which are beyond the Project management's control - no refund will be made, unless the Project's management decides otherwise.
