Argentina – Culture, Community Service & Eco Adventure for Teenagers

Join a small group of teens on a meaningful Volunteer Adventure that blends culture, community engagement, and conservation. Over two exciting weeks, you’ll explore two of Argentina’s most vibrant regions, connect with local communities, and take part in hands-on projects that make a real impact. The experience combines guided activities with supervised independence, giving teens the confidence to discover new places, build friendships, and learn through action.

 

Program Highlights:

  • Families stay connected through real-time WhatsApp updates, photos, and messages from the on-site coordinator.
  • Meet your local coordinator and fellow teen travelers in an online meet-and-greet three weeks before the adventure begins
  • Explore two iconic cities through guided visits, neighborhood walks, and cultural activities.

  • Support environmental projects, including native tree planting in rural schools.
  • Join conservation work and educational activities at a Puma Rescue Center.

Sample Weekly Schedule (activities may change depending on weather and local needs):

Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires, private airport pick-up, SIM activation, and welcome session.
Day 2: Guided city walk through Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, and green parks of Palermo with cultural tastings.
Day 3: Boat to La Boca and Caminito, live tango displays, lunch, optional stadium entrance, and return by local bus.
Day 4: School volunteer activity focused on reforestation, lunch at San Telmo Market, closing session, and overnight sleeper bus to Córdoba.
Day 5: Arrival in Córdoba, hostel check-in, historic center walking tour, and afternoon community project with local children.
Day 6: Full gaucho day in the Córdoba Sierras with horseback riding and traditional Argentine barbecue.
Day 7: Educational visit to Córdoba Biopark and afternoon exploration of the bohemian district and artisan markets.
Day 8: School immersion day with sports, dance, and tree-planting environmental project.
Day 9: Behind-the-scenes visit to a soccer club followed by a friendly match with local students.
Day 10: Cuarteto Museum visit and afternoon cultural exchange with local children.
Day 11: Volunteer day at the Puma Rescue Center including guided learning and animal care support.
Day 12: Trekking in the hills, mate-sharing by the lake, group lunch, and return to Córdoba.
Day 13: Tango workshop and show, free time for souvenirs, and farewell karaoke celebration.
Day 14: Final group breakfast, reflection session, and private airport transfer.

Note for Parents: This itinerary is designed specifically for teenage volunteers, offering a higher level of supervision throughout the program. GoEco also offers the convenience of flight booking services to assist in coordinating participants’ travel arrangements after registration and approval.

This teen adventure takes place in two of the most dynamic regions of the country, each offering its own blend of culture, community, and nature. Buenos Aires introduces teens to iconic landmarks, colorful neighborhoods, lively markets, and waterfront parks—perfect for exploring, taking photos, and experiencing local traditions. The energy of La Boca and Caminito, along with the historic charm of Plaza de Mayo and the modern feel of Puerto Madero, gives every day something new to discover.

Córdoba brings a different atmosphere, known for its welcoming student vibe, colonial architecture, and easy access to outdoor landscapes. The UNESCO-listed Jesuit Block highlights the region’s history, while the surrounding Sierras offer wide-open spaces for trekking, horseback riding, and nature exploration. Teens also spend time in rural communities, local schools, and conservation areas connected to the volunteer work. Together, these two locations create a balanced experience filled with culture, community interaction, and opportunities to enjoy Argentina’s natural beauty.

Your Role as a Volunteer

As part of this teen volunteer adventure, you’ll take part in hands-on activities designed to be educational, age-appropriate, and genuinely impactful. Your days may include supporting school activities, joining cultural exchanges with local students, planting native trees, or assisting with simple conservation tasks at the Puma Rescue Center. The goal is to give teens a chance to learn through action, connect with local communities, and understand the importance of environmental stewardship—all while working alongside experienced leaders.

Volunteer Tasks: 

  • Join school activities such as sports, group games, and creative projects.
  • Assist with cultural exchanges, dance sessions, and community events.
  • Take part in tree-planting and environmental restoration projects.
  • Help with basic tasks at the Puma Rescue Center, such as maintenance and feeding routines.
  • Participate in educational sessions on wildlife, conservation, and biodiversity.
  • Support community engagement activities in both urban and rural settings.

 

A Typical Day

Each volunteer day begins with breakfast before heading out with your group and team leaders to the project site. Mornings often include time with local students—playing sports, dancing, or helping with school activities-while afternoons shift toward environmental or conservation work. Lunch may take place at the project site, a local market, or a community space. Evenings offer a mix of cultural outings, reflection time, and relaxed group activities, giving teens the chance to unwind, connect, and prepare for the next day.

  • Buenos Aires – Waldorf Hotel
    In Buenos Aires, teens stay at the Waldorf Hotel or similar, a centrally located property close to the city’s main highlights. Rooms accommodate up to three students and include a private bathroom, offering a comfortable and convenient start to the program.
  • Córdoba – Group Hostel
    In Córdoba, the group stays at a dedicated hostel area reserved exclusively for participants. Rooms accommodate up to four teens by gender, and the group occupies the entire top floor, ensuring privacy and separation from other guests. This area includes bathrooms for exclusive group use and access to a private terrace. Shared spaces at the hostel include a barbecue area, common kitchen, and a comfortable living room for group activities and downtime.
  • Puma Project – On-Site Apartments
    During the Puma Program visit, participants stay in simple, private apartments located near the Puma Rescue Center. Each apartment accommodates up to three people and includes a private bathroom, offering a practical and comfortable stay close to the project site.

Food icon Food: Three meals a day are included throughout the itinerary. Meals feature local Argentine dishes along with familiar items suitable for teens. Packaged or on-site lunches are arranged during excursions, school visits, and project days.

  • Age: between 15 and 17 years old.

  • Flexibility when booking flights, as the program will only be confirmed to run once the minimum number of participants is reached.
