Your Schedule at a Glance:

Day 1, Sun: Arrival day – Meet your driver at Sydney Airport for a transfer to your central hostel. Rest and recover from your flight.
Day 2, Mon: Meet your guide and travel group, explore Sydney’s highlights on a walking tour, and enjoy a group welcome dinner.
Day 3, Tue: Morning presentations about travel options in Australia, followed by an Aboriginal heritage walk and private cocktail-making class.
Day 4, Wed: Depart for a scenic coastal road trip to Jervis Bay. Join a dolphin cruise and relax on the world’s whitest sand.
Day 5, Thu: Start your day with a surf lesson at Seven Mile Beach and enjoy a surprise group activity before returning to Sydney.
Day 6, Fri: Reflect on your week, explore final city highlights, and enjoy a farewell dinner with your new friends.
Day 7, Sat: Free day to explore more of Sydney.
Day 8, Sun: On your last morning, depart Sydney by train to Calga to begin your volunteer adventure at the Wildlife Animal Sanctuary, or fly north to Cairns for the Great Barrier Reef Conservation program.

This tour does not include volunteer work. It serves as a recommended introduction week for GoEco participants joining volunteer programs in Australia. It helps travellers get familiar with the country, meet other participants, and enjoy cultural and natural highlights before beginning their placement.

A typical day includes:

  • Guided sightseeing or outdoor activities in the morning
  • Group excursions or cultural experiences in the afternoon
  • Shared evening meals and social activities with the group
