Our family of three, including our 14-year-old son, embarked on a life-changing volunteer vacation to Bali, Indonesia through GoEco we joined the Family Friendly Education program in Bali. We were seeking a meaningful travel experience, one where we could not only explore a beautiful destination but also give back to the local community. This opportunity exceeded all our expectations.
We had the privilege of teaching English to 6th-grade students at a local school, just outside of Ubud. The local team, and their staff were amazing, very well planned, with great accommodations, food, and activities all coordinated by their staff. Using a variety of learning methods, including writing exercises, spelling games, songs, and discussions about the environment and global cultures, we connected with the students in fun and engaging ways while teaching English. It was incredibly rewarding for us to see their enthusiasm and curiosity grow each day.
This experience brought our family closer together and gave our son and us a deeper appreciation for different cultures and the value of service. We’re grateful to GoEco for organizing such a well-structured and impactful program. Bali’s natural beauty and the warmth of its people made this journey unforgettable. We highly recommend this to any family looking to travel with purpose.
